August 7 was the Chinese Valentine’s Day (七夕) this year. The fact that RED/XiaoHongShu being pulled out from China APP Store for 2 weeks seems not affecting big players on this platform. International beauty brands are still launching marketing campaigns as usual to celebrate Chinese Valentine’s Day.


1. Launch limited-edition gift box for Chinese Valentine’s Day YSL, Lance and Estee Lauder launched gift boxes of lipsticks specially for China market with new shades and special design.


2. Work with KOLs and launch user engagement activities Shiseido worked with KOLs to recommend several products to finish a Chinese Valentine’s Day look, and also launched lucky draw games on brand account and ask followers to share their makeup look on RED.
